To give some background information on XXXTentacion he has quite an unusual star persona. When he started writing music he had an aggressive personality and crude lyrics. However later on in his life his close friend committed suicide, he was accused of abuse and also his girlfriend hurt him mentally. He totally changed his music style to more of a sad rap where he talked about his personal problems to his fans.
Revenge was one of XXXTentacion's first songs after his change in style. He mentions himself considering revenge on his ex-girlfriend. The song itself highlights his anxiety and his regret of his actions. He accepts what he has done wrong and shows how he wants to move forward as a person and show his audience the good side of himself as he recognizes his growth in the rap community.
His music videos often represent similar ideas/ opinions. Through his most popular music videos he aims to show the change in his personality from an aggressive rapper to thoughtful calm singer. Also XXXTentacion aims to raise awareness of racism in the US by looking at the history and the suppression and violence of African Americans.
If I were to create a music video for this song I would think about how he is looking back on his past and asking for forgiveness. I want implement scenes of his past and experiences he had. For colouring I would like to keep it black and white apart from the colour red. This will emphasis the pain and grief he caused people.
